【ES 官方活动】中国科学院亚洲计量经济学与统计学暑期学校报名在即

世界计量经济学会（Econometric Society）官方网站宣布，世界计量经济学会“亚洲计量经济学与统计学暑期学校”将于2021年7月份在北京举办。主办单位是中国科学院预测科学中心、中国科学院大学经济与管理学院，协办单位有厦门大学邹至庄经济研究中心和东北财经大学经济学院。本次暑期学校活动时间为2021年7月12日至2021年7月17日。

本次暑期学校旨在为海内外经济类、管理类、统计类及相关学科的广大师生介绍计量经济学和统计学领域的若干最新国际前沿发展，积极推动计量经济学教育与研究在亚太地区的发展。

主办单位将邀请来自美国麻省理工学院、南加州大学、俄亥俄州立大学、堪萨斯大学、韩国首尔国立大学，以及中国科学院大学等国际知名计量经济学家前来授课，介绍相关领域的国际前沿研究，包括高维多元波动模型、非线性向量自回归模型、非线性空间自回归模型、交互效应面板模型、时变模型、经验模态分解与预测、处置效应与机器学习，以及随机占优等计量经济学理论方法及其在经济金融的应用。

本期暑期学校报名通道将于3月10日开启，5月31日结束，欢迎招收海内外高校和科研单位的经济学、金融学、管理学、数学、统计学、数据科学等相关学科硕士研究生、博士研究生和青年教师报名参加。根据世界计量经济学会的要求，学员在报名前需要注册为世界计量经济学会（Econometric Society）会员。

The Econometric Society is pleased to announce that the “Asian Summer School in Econometrics and Statistics of the Econometric Society” will be held at University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China, July 12-17, 2021. The Summer School is organized by the Center for Forecasting Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, the School of Economics and Management, the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, together with the Gregory and Paula Chow Center for Economic Research, Xiamen University and the School of Economics, Dongbei University of Finance and Economics.

Lectures will be delivered on spot or online，and students can attend the summer school either on spot or online.

Preliminary list of the invited lecturers

(in alphabetical order)

All lectures are conducted in English. Topics that would be covered in lectures include:

1.Estimation of high-dimensional multivariate GARCH models；

2.Nonlinear spatial autoregressive models with applications；

3.Nonlinear VAR models: theory and applications；

4.Panel interactive models；

5.Stochastic dominance with applications to economics and finance；

6.Time-varying models, empirical mode decomposition and forecasts；

7.Treatment effects and machine learning

Please indicate whether you will attend the summer school on spot or online. An applicant must be a member of the Econometric Society at the time of application. To join the Econometric Society, please visit https://www.econometricsociety.org/. Admission decisions will be announced around June 10, 2021 and will be notified individually.

Registration fee and living cost

There is no registration fee for the Summer School. Participating students are responsible for their own living costs (e.g., travel, housing and food) during the Summer School.
