<span leaf="" style="box-sizing: border-box;">英语和高级翻译学院外语学科建设历史悠久、根基深厚。目前，学院建设有外国语言学及应用语言学、英语语言文学、翻译学、国际传播翻译、国际语言服务等5个二级学科；另外还建有翻译专业硕士点（MTI），设有英语口译、英语笔译、法语口译、法语笔译等4个方向，该专业硕士学位点被评为A+等级。学院还积极推进平台建设，建有由四部委联合授予的特色（语言服务）出口基地、翻译与国际传播研究院、国际语言服务研究院、语言与类脑智能研究中心、四个教育部备案的国别和区域研究中心，以及教育部虚拟教研室建设试点项目——中国文化国际传播人才培养改革虚拟教研室。</span>

<span leaf="" style="box-sizing: border-box;">外国语言学及应用语言学是1964年创立英语专业以来英语和高级翻译学院发展最早的学科，具有悠久的办学历史和良好的学科专业基础，是国内唯一能够覆盖形式语言学四大基础理论领域(音系学、句法学、形式语义学和语言习得)及功能语言学研究领域(语用学，语篇分析，认知语言学等)的外国语言学及应用语言学专业。</span>

<span leaf="" style="box-sizing: border-box;">本学科师资队伍雄厚，目前共有专任教师20人，其中教授10人（博士生导师9人）；特聘教授4人；以及美国语言学会前主席帕提（Barbara Partee）和欧洲语言学会前主席罗伯兹（Ian Roberts）等多位国际一流语言学者为客座教授。本专业每年都有200多场学术讲座，陆续邀请了数十位世界顶级语言学家来我校做学术交流和语言学专题讲座。多次主办国际重大学术会议，其中包括乔姆斯基做主旨演讲的“第八届国际生成语言学会议”和“中外语言类大学校长论坛”等大型国际学术会议。我校外语用学科在国际学术界产生了较大影响。</span>
