<span style="box-sizing: inherit; letter-spacing: 0px; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; font-size: 14px;">中国地质大学（武汉）环境学院以建设地球科学与环境领域国内外知名的跨学科研究型学院为目标，以地质环境保护为特色，以多学科交叉为优势，以破解区域性社会发展与生态保护矛盾问题为使命，揭示地球系统与地质环境、地理环境和社会环境的相互作用机理，发展区域性复合污染源-污染途径-污染范围的识别与管控、人体健康与生态安全风险的评估、修复等方面的新技术、新方法和新材料，构建集多环境要素调查、多水平监测、多过程耦合模拟、多目标风险评估、保护与修复等为一体的创新理论方法体系，探究人与自然的和谐共生方案。学院60余年来累计为国家培养了2万余名优秀人才，包括水文地质学家王焰新院士、冻土学家程国栋院士、地热学家汪集旸院士、岩溶学家卢耀如院士，“鸟巢”（奥运会国家体育场）和“冰丝带”（冬奥会国家速滑馆）总工程师李久林，我国著名登山家、国际登山健将和中国登山队队长王勇峰等一批杰出人才。</span>
