<span leaf="" style="box-sizing: border-box;">中国医学科学院北京协和医学院（以下简称“院校”）是我国现代医学教育的发源地，作为我国最高医学研究机构和最高医学教育机构，院校自成立以来始终以引领我国医学科技教育发展和维护人民健康为己任，为我国医学卫生健康事业的发展做出了重要贡献。生物医学工程研究所（以下简称“医工所”）是院校下属的医学科研院所之一，是生物医学工程专业领域最早成立的国家级研究所，也是北京协和医学院生物医学工程“一流学科”建设的主要承担单位。医工所的前身是中国医学科学院医学仪器器械研究所，1960年成立于北京。1978年，在中国心胸外科学和生物医学工程学奠基人黄家驷院长的直接倡导下，研究所更名为“中国医学科学院生物医学工程研究所”，并于同年招收首批硕士研究生。医工所现坐落于天津市“天开高教科创园”核心区，现有博士生导师23人，硕士生导师21人，国家级高层次人才5人，形成了一支素质优良、结构科学、富有活力的高素质研究生导师队伍。</span>
