                                    <span leaf="" style="box-sizing: border-box;">海洋与地球科学学院成立于2002年，其前身是创建于1975年的海洋地质与地球物理系。1983年成为当时国内高校中唯一海洋地质学博士点，1998年获固体地球物理学博士学位授予权。学院现有海洋科学、地球物理学两个一级学科博士点和博士后流动站。海洋科学和地球物理学学科全国居前，其中海洋地质学科全国第一，得到国家211和985计划重点支持，2000年入选上海市“重中之重”学科，2001年被评为国家重点学科。海洋科学和地球物理学学科2006年共同建成我国海洋科学领域第一批国家重点实验室——海洋地质全国重点实验室，海洋科学2015年入选上海市“高峰学科”计划，2017年入选教育部世界一流学科建设计划，同年获国家发改委批准领衔建设“国家海底科学观测网”大科学工程。学院先后承担了国家863、973计划和国家自然科学基金等多项重点项目以及国家重大科技基础设施-国家海底科学观测网大科学工程的建设任务。学科专业基础雄厚，在国内外享有崇高声誉和影响力。</span>

                                    <span leaf="" style="box-sizing: border-box;">学院拥有一支由中科院院士、长江学者特聘教授和国家杰出青年基金获得者等高层次人才领衔的优秀教师队伍。现有专任教师89人，其中教授43人，副教授40人，博导65人，硕导73人。</span>

                                    <span leaf="" style="box-sizing: border-box;">海洋科学和地球物理学学科以国际一流学科为标准，围绕国家海洋和油气资源发展战略的重大需求，以国际大洋发现计划（IODP）、“国家海底科学观测网”大科学工程、基金委“南海深海过程演变”重大研究计划等国际和国内重大海洋科技任务带动，开展国际前沿的海洋科学研究。总体目标是建设成为一个面向深海、以海陆结合、科学与技术结合为特色，具有产学研结合前景和国际竞争力的世界一流海洋科技研究中心和人才培养基地。</span>
