王鑫，中国科学院大学天文与空间科学学院与国家天文台双聘副教授。国家级海外引进人才。曾荣获中国科学院大学年度优秀个人 （领雁金奖），小米学者，北京大学科维理访问学者等奖励。主要从事空间望远镜数据处理算法开发，第一代恒星搜寻与宇宙再电离，星系形成与化学演化，引力透镜与暗物质空间分布等领域的天文研究。被选为詹姆斯·韦布空间望远镜（JWST）大师班成员，应美国航空航天局（NASA）授权负责为JWST培养观测人才。目前以首席科学家身份主持两项哈勃空间望远镜（HST）中型级别观测项目，作为核心成员参与数项珍宝级和大型JWST，HST观测项目。主持国家基金委优秀青年(海外)科学基金项目和面上项目，作为核心成员参与中国科学院稳定支持基础研究领域青年团队和CSST预研究课题项目。截至2024年7月，共发表SCI论文140余篇，被引用3400余次，H-index为34。

2008年在南京大学天文学系获理学学士，2014年在中国科学院大学获理学博士。曾在德国海德堡马普天文所参与博士生联合培养，在西班牙加那利天体物理研究所从事博士后研究。2015年获中科院优博，2021年入选中科院青促会、获得国家自然科学基金委优青。目前担任《中国科学：物理学 力学 天文学》(中英文版)青年编委，中国地球物理学会行星物理专业委员会委员，青促会数理分会委员，三十米望远镜（TMT）科学咨询委员会系外行星子委员会委员，TMT初光仪器WFOS、MODHIS科学组成员。长期从事系外行星大气的观测刻画研究，在系外行星大气组分搜寻证认和高层大气加热观测特征等方面有重要贡献。截至2023年5月在ApJL、A&A、MNRAS等国际主流期刊发表论文60余篇，主持过国家自然科学基金面上项目、青年项目以及江苏省自然科学基金优青项目、青年项目。
